Humanoid Creatures of Constellation Draco 1

Description

Something i did a while back to test out my skills of making humanoid looking creatures out of "normal" animals :P

Rule of Constellation Draco Regarding Humanoids:
There is no true humanoid creature other than the homo sapien types. The "humanoid" creatures are simply a clash of evolution in which several species attempt at having an advanced member of the family tree that shows signs of near human intelligence. There is no such thing as a half-human half animal creature on Constellation Draco; it wouldnt make sense for a mermaid to be half mammal and half fish, where would that come from? its either a fish or a mammal and i pick fish :P

Dont mind the typing on the page, i'll explain the types here

A. Harpy: simply a glorified maniraptoran on the verge of discovering its powers of flight. People mistake its silhouette to be a man bird creature.
B. Vampire: the only exception to a true human creature. On Constellation Draco there are a few diseases and ailments that cause different types of Cannibalism, Hemovores suffer from direct sunlight, impulsive anger, solitude, and a blood deficiency, driving the hunger for blood in other humans. It can happy to any homo sapien, from the humans to the Ogres
C. Satyr: some ungulates broke off into a branch of walking upright and even developing tribes. The satyrs and minotaurs fall into the same category, only being differentiated in size, but their bodies are full hoofed and capable of running or standing, no opposable digits.
D. Werewolf: these appear to be a mystery in the canine world. these are the only types that have evolved capable of walking on two feet to fight off in a much more threatening way. their ancestors may resemble those of bear dogs on earth, but their bite also brings a disease that strikes a form of cannibalism to people where they grow more hair day by day and develop urges to kill and hunt.
E. Naga/Medusa: or Gorgons :P they're simply 2 legged lizards that have gone beyond burrowing and slithering. before their limbs atrophied to make them full snakes, they made use of their arms to rear young and to create their own underground ecosystem. The "hair of snakes" can be explained by maternal care, in which the mother will carry the eggs of her young on her head for protection of herself and the young, making her appear more intimidating.
F. Fairy: These evolve from a common ancestor branch that comes with the mermaids. those that stayed in water continued becoming more marine adapted, and those on land learned the power of flight. do not be fooled though, they are amphibians, and live in wet areas where they can still return to water to lay their eggs and raise their young in the high canopy of the trees.
G. Mermaid: these are a type of fish that somehow evolved a lateral tailfin, and somehow it allowed them to use their fins in a much more evolutionary way. their back fins became used for steering and "flying" underwater, while their pectoral fins allowed them to grasp and handle objects underwater. they even developed a shockingly human looking upper torso, for stability and maternal reasons. they share a common ancestor with fairies.
H. Centaur: these are not half human horses, they are full on horses with a 3rd pair of limbs, and a specialized spinal structure. while their main lets are used for running, the extra pair is used for holding and handling other things; their evolution in the horse line mirrors that of maniraptorans, which also leads to the gift of flight in the next million years

. know what, the werewolf looks pretty cool actually, makes me wish that we had dogs that were like that :D
. the naga reminds me of a lindworm, fits the discription of a serpentine creature with arms, although heads up medusa is the name of one, might want to swap medusa with gorgon as that IS the species name :)
. cool harpy design and a neat origin, don't think i've seen an idea of a harpy like this
. the Satyr looks so scared, like not even he knows why he is on 2 legs
. mermaids and fairies look somewhat similar going off these, they both have wings, i imagine that merfolk use them for better swimming though
. seeing the centaur makes me happy that horses don't have arms :o
. vampire looks cool, reminds me of the chupacabra, which still fits considering both are blood suckers :)
