Gorira-Kujira - Kaiju Fusions Description Below

*i've developed a fondness for Steven Universe lately so bare with me* 

First off, I've always had a fondness for the concept of fusions in some shows, where you combine 2 characters of some awesome abilities in order to create this one being with a kickass new design, some awesome new powers, and all the cool tricks that come with it (in fact a lot of my younger sketches involved combining some of my own OCs to make new ones, and none of you will ever see those monstrosities)  but still, if you look at some kaiju designs, they might as well be the same thing, since a lot of their designs don't exist anywhere else in nature, so they might as well have been combinations of 2 other creatures in the world 

.. and that's where YOU COME IN!!

Your job will be to take a kaiju design you find interesting, split it in half, and show me the 2 creatures that created the iconic kaiju we all know and love. now i've already done Godzilla (HA HA CONGA) so you gotta take some of the others and show me who you think would fuse and become some of the others 

some examples would be an Ankylosaurus and a Styracosaurus to create Anguirus or perhaps a Carnotaurus and a Meganeura to create Megaguirus idk 

but that's not all! i've seen a ton of plain artwork here so i also wanna challenge you guys to make this look pretty and colorful and give em a nice design.. PUT AN EFFORT INTO THIS, MAN!!

make em look like buddies! give em character! dont just gimme a lazy doodle and pretend they have a personality, i wanna see how creative you guys can be! 

i'll decide who's the winners are in the frame of maybe a few weeks, i'll give you guys about .. 2 weeks, so you gotta be finishing up by the time Jurassic World comes around the corner

the top 5 best candidates will have a shot at being featured on the new tumblr blog, Godzilla-Saves-the-Day, where your artwork will be seen by other kaiju fans, and hopefully gain you some recognition and some new fans!! hoorayyy fannnss!!

*obligatory fanfiction description*: Gorira is a radioactive, peace-loving, armored stegosaurus who's missing her tail spikes since birth. She and the rest of her herd have been traveling the land, through swampy marshes, where they must avoid the radioactively amphibious archosaurus that have evolved gills for maximum hunting abilities. Kujira is playful the same way a killer whale is playful with penguins, so from time to time he enjoys messing around with Gorira as she tries to escape the marshes. One day during a storm they get separated from their herds and put aside their differences to find a way home, where they eventually become friends (for some reason) and fight all odds to survive. When they realized how far they were from home, they made a choice to combine their powers and fuse themselves to become the ultimate survivor. .. thus GODZILLA was born (it's more of a stretched out joke as to the fact that Godzilla was designed after a T Rex and a Stegosaurus, but oh well, right?)
