Description

these heads were made when i was still in the early process of understanding my own dragons, so they might look a little different than this later on :)

Dragon Type: Classic (Slitherwing)
On Constellation Draco, the classic dragons are the most common of the dragon species. They are often recognized by having four legs and two wings; six limbs. Not to be confused with the serpents, the classics have a strong vertebral column for sustaining powered flight from any point of takeoff. The classic dragons vary in their use of limbs, using them for flying, climbing, or even attacking. Most classics have a body design to appear more mammalian in shape, as oppose to the trampletoe which appears like a chunky dinosaur with wings. The evolution of the classics varies in different ways, from flying, to burrowing, to climbing rocks or trees, and even flashing patches of skin. They still maintain the avian keel that keeps their wings anchored to their chest during flight, along with some back muscles to guarantee that they wont give up on flight just yet. Classics evolved from a species of serpent called the vorpon, which was smart enough to crawl onto land and diversify its specialized body into new habitats around the world. Though they compete for food with wyverns and humanoids, they more often help out the wyverns and serpents in times of conflict.

Dragon Type: Wyvern (Golden Smacklejaw)
The larger dragons of Constellation Draco most often tend to be the wyverns. These dragons are recognized by their powerful body structures and use of only four limbs; two wings and two legs. Their methods of attack vary more than the classics and serpents in that they are more agile and usually more lightweight. Despite their larger size, they produce more gases in their system which not only creates more fire, but also makes them more buoyant. A good way to recognize a wyvern is to compare it with a bird or theropod. Most of the wyverns maintain the bird-like design, more obvious in the fishbill. The venomlip has become more mammalian as a bat, whereas the sponk has lost its power of flight altogether, making them the only two different from birds. Wyverns tend to breed outside their species from time to time, resulting in few varying offspring differences like Nar Nar.

Dragon Type: Serpent (Celestial Imoogi)
Longer, flexible, and more reclusive than the wyverns and classics are the serpents. Serpents can be identified by their long flexible spinal columns, which allow them to crawl, dig, swim, and climb better than other dragons. They are also smarter than most dragons because they always figure out new ways to attack their prey and learn whether or not a new creature is friend or foe. Most serpents are unable to fly, mostly because they have flexible spines and small wings, which only gives them gliding. In the case of the ampitheres, however, the wings are larger and covered in feathers, and despite the flexible spine, they have a second pair of wings formed by their legs to help keep them afloat; another example of dragon evolution that can be thought of only by a serpent. These dragons appear more reptilian in design compared to the other dragon species; most of them act as monitor lizards, collared lizards, or crocodiles. The lindworm evolved similar to theropods of the cretacious as the ampithere and the shumru evolved similar to south american birds of paradise. Though not as diverse as the wyverns or classics, the sight of a serpent is one to admire.
