Description

keep in mind that some of the dragons that were made as silhouettes in this graph were done as early designs, and some have been remodeled slightly in the course of a few months, i'll upload several of the dragons separately later on :)

each bar represents 3 feet of measurement in height, there's Jermone for human representation along with the gray common ancestor for reference

Dragon Type: Classic
On Constellation Draco, the classic dragons are the most common of the dragon species. They are often recognized by having four legs and two wings; six limbs. Not to be confused with the serpents, the classics have a strong vertebral column for sustaining powered flight from any point of takeoff. The classic dragons vary in their use of limbs, using them for flying, climbing, or even attacking. Most classics have a body design to appear more mammalian in shape, as oppose to the trampletoe which appears like a chunky dinosaur with wings. The evolution of the classics varies in different ways, from flying, to burrowing, to climbing rocks or trees, and even flashing patches of skin. They still maintain the avian keel that keeps their wings anchored to their chest during flight, along with some back muscles to guarantee that they wont give up on flight just yet. Classics evolved from a species of serpent called the vorpon, which was smart enough to crawl onto land and diversify its specialized body into new habitats around the world. Though they compete for food with wyverns and humanoids, they more often help out the wyverns and serpents in times of conflict.
