5 Steps to Draw Your Very Own Godzilla! :D

Description

ive seen a lot of Godzilla fan art out there, and im rather impressed at what some people have come up with, which is why i have my own personal doodle version of the LegendaryGoji.  other stuff on the internet requires a bit of practice, and maybe a touch of originality and stuff .. so for those of you who would like to practice your very own Godzilla design, give this little tutorial a try :)

1. Understand the Shapes: every Godzilla design has essentially the same design (except Zilla which flipped things around a bit too much) so once you understand where every body part goes and the size ratio to other parts, play around with it and see what kinda poses you can make

2. Pick a Type of Design: I used to be a huge fan of the Millenium Style up until May 2014, in which i would often only draw updated versions of Godzilla 2000, but now with the new film trilogy I have a new favorite and that would be Legendary Goji, which is why he appears in the Legendary style in all my comics

3. Find a  Style That's Interesting But Doable For Yourself: now this is something i MUST stress, even if you feel your style isnt good, the fact that you're a practicing artist means that you must MUST MUST believe in yourself to do better. dont limit yourself just because you have limited technology or materials, you can always find a way to make your stuff look more interesting, play around with styles, pull elements from things you like and see if you can create a hybrid of parts, dont replicate whatever you see online or on tv cus then it looks pretty much like you can only do that style, and its not good for when you wanna do other stuff, so please please practice and find your own individual styles.

4. Apply to Goji and Practice!: once you've determined your own personal style, play around with it, then apply it to the Godzilla you've chosen. the more you practice and perfect your style, the more it becomes your own, and it'll more likely become difficult for others to match your style (which is good cus its your own) make little doodles and fanart and just go crazy if you must :)
dont copy the random examples i made, i will be very sad if you dont try, i want you all to try and be original when you can, so please try

5. Produce Your Own Fan Material: after you're memorized every step to drawing your own version of Godzilla, think of some ideas in which he would catch people's attention. my comics are rather random and kinda dumb, but i guess they're kinda cute and interesting to somebody out there and ive managed to get a lot of suscribers and watchers cus of it, so find something you could do that'll get some feedback from the fans, and they'll influence you to find more of what works
(dont do an ask blog of Godzilla in the movies or something, that's MY thing :icondontplz:

so show me your examples, if you want i will give you hands on help to push you in the right direction so you can make stuff people will enjoy, i am an animation major hoping to go into the industry so i know some early secrets for growing artists looking to become successful. unless you know other people further down the road, i am your ticket to success :P

i do not own Godzilla. tutorial by me, LegendaryGoji belongs to Legendary Studios but the doodle version is my thingy (no copyright intended)
